[Frame by Frame] European Cinema
Film Studies, Editorial Design, Personal Project
Frame by Frame is an ongoing personal project inspired by my time living in Copenhagen and my growing interest in European cinema. After watching and researching 22 influential European films, I created a series of editorial posters that reinterpret each film through typography, composition, and visual language rather than traditional movie promotion.
HYGGE [IS NOT AN OBJECT]
COMING SOON
The series continues through ongoing print experiments inspired by Danish culture, including HYGGE [IS NOT AN OBJECT], which explores hygge as a lived cultural experience rather than a physical object.
Project Concept
Rather than redesigning existing movie posters, each piece translates a film's visual identity into a new graphic interpretation. Typography, image treatment, composition, and pacing respond to the unique atmosphere, narrative, and cinematic language of each selected film, creating a collection that functions as both a personal archive and an evolving design exploration.
