A Space Reimagined celebrates the twentieth anniversary of the Fleet Library's transformation by NADAAA in 2006. The project explores how a visual identity can reflect the building's architectural history, connecting its contemporary function as a library with its past as the Rhode Island Hospital Trust Bank.
Project Concept
Rather than introducing new graphic forms, the identity was built from the architecture itself. By extracting recurring grids, axes, and sectional transitions from the building's original orthographic drawings, we developed a modular visual language that reflects the library's structural rhythm while reinterpreting architectural details preserved from its past as a historic bank.
